I just knew about Pell Grant 1 month ago, and i don’t how to apply for Pell Grant.
Do i have to get a form to apply……?
I want to know who is eligible for Pell Grant and the way to apply for it.
Also, the deadline for Pell Grant!

Once you apply through FAFSA and have a record of your EFC and how much you make FAFSA will let you know. Most likely if you and parents don’t make much and EFC is “zero,” you are eligible. Once the school has received FAFSA application they may select you for a verification process and ask for some tax returns, etc. Then about a week before fall semester you will accept your financial aid award and most likely if your parents dont make much you’ll be offered a pell grant and a subsidized . Also once you apply through FAFSA check your banner system account to keep an update on whether you have received any grants or SUBSIDIZED !! Good luck!

I’m currently an Army ROTC cadet, and I’ve been looking to try to get an educational delay in order to go to seminary and join the Chaplain Corps. The school is expensive though, and I haven’t really been able to find clear answers on anything. I know I would commission as a Lieutenant before going to grad school, but I haven’t been able to find information on if I’d be getting active duty pay, if I’d be gaining promotions in the “normal” amounts of time, if there are any scholarships available for Chaplain Corps since I’m ineligible for tuition assistance, or what kind of physical fitness guidelines I’d have to follow (would I have to go to monthly drill, or just maintain the PT standard on the test twice a year). Most information I have been able to find on scholarships and such have strictly been for Medical Corps and JAG, so anything chaplain-specific could help me with would be amazing. I strongly recommend that you call the Chaplain Corps school at Fort Jackson and talk with them about specifics. You;ve apparently been looking in all the wrong places, since all your questions are answered on the Chaplain Corps website. One of the first things a young officer needs to learn to do is to do research on his own…… http://www.usachcs.army.mil/

However, in general, all your questions revolve around what sort of commission you get following graduation from . If you got the standard commissioning / branch route, you will have to go to the officer basic course of whatever branch you initially get. Following that, if you are in a reserve unit, then all that normally applies to a reservist applies to you while you are going to seminary. If you go into the IRR following OBC, then you get nothing and none of the physical requirements really .

For specific educational delays from ROTC, the website states: “The ROTC Education Delay Program offers ROTC Cadets the opportunity to apply for a delay in the fulfillment of their Active Duty Service Obligation (ADSO) in order to become an Army Chaplain.

Cadets normally apply for an education delay at the same time and on the same form (FORM 67-9) that they use to submit their choice of a branch selection, usually between the months of May and September before their senior year of college. The Army approves education delays on a case-by-case basis through a board process. Once a cadet is granted an Education Delay by USA Cadet Command (USACC), the cadet then contacts an Army Chaplain Recruiting Team (CRT) in order to submit an application packet for a Chaplain Candidate Accessions Board. Should the cadet not be accessed by this board, or should the cadet neglect to submit an application for accessing, the cadet would then be branched by USACC in accordance to their original obligation. Once a cadet is accessed as a Chaplain Candidate, they are entitled to all the benefits of and responsibilities of the CCP except Tuition Assistance. Cadets can contact their PMS, the USACC chaplain, or a CRT.”

It appears from the website that you can be paid for active duty time spent training, but there is no tuition assistance. Not sure it is even legal to pay someone DoD money to go to a religious school – but that is not really the point.

Again – call the Chaplain School and get the right answers from the right guys!
