The Chinese Government Scholarship

The Chinese Government Scholarship-Chinese University Program is now accepting applications from deserving international students who want to enroll in Chinese universities for the upcoming academic year. The initiative was created by the Chinese Ministry of Education (MOE) with funding from the Chinese Government to assist Chinese universities in enlisting excellent full-time master’s and doctorate overseas students for graduate study in China.

The Chinese University Program offers a fully financed scholarship that covers housing, a stipend, comprehensive medical insurance, and tuition waiver, and it can be used at any university or higher education institution in China.

2023–2024 Chinese Government Scholarships | Details;

This scholarship is a fully financed opportunity that includes housing assistance, a stipend, and comprehensive health insurance. According to a new regulation published on Wednesday by the Ministry of Public Security, foreign students will also be qualified to join entrepreneurial firms in Beijing’s high-tech hub, the Zhongguancun National Demonstration Zone, and apply for permanent residence.

To be eligible for these Scholarships, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

  1. To pursue postgraduate studies, candidates must be non-Chinese natives and in good mental and physical health.
  2. Applicants for the must not currently be enrolled in a Chinese university or have graduated from a Chinese university more than a year ago.
  3. Candidates for the master’s degree program must have earned a bachelor’s certificate, or the Chinese equivalent, and they must not have turned 35 by the first of September of the relevant year.
  4. Candidates for doctoral studies must hold a master’s degree, which is the equivalent of a master’s degree in China, and they must not have turned 40 by September 1st.
  5. Applicants should be aware that while doctoral degree programs take 3–4 years to complete, master’s degree programs take 2–3 years.
  6. Meet any additional requirements for eligibility imposed by universities for admission.
